Thumb up! The Project of Sanfeng awarded by the World Bank

Recently, Sanfeng Environment Kunming Konggang Environmental Protection plant (hereinafter referred to as Kunming Project) has successfully passed the acceptance of demonstration project of "China's Domestic Waste Comprehensive Environmental Management Project" sponsored by the Global Environment Fund (GEF).  Kunming project was awarded the title of "Waste to Energy Model Enterprise" by the World Bank and Foreign Environmental Cooperation Center, Ministry of Ecology and Environment jointly.

Kunming project of Sanfeng Environment, as a demonstration enterprise of grate incinerator technology in waste-to-energy industry, has continuously carried out technical upgrading of the best feasible technology and best environmental practice technical upgrading of Stockholm Convention since 2015, involving an investment of 23.87 million yuan. The incinerator combustion intelligent control project pioneers in China. Using the network intelligent self-learning model, it ensures stable combustion of incinerators, realizes the waste combustion intelligent control and "850 degree, 2 seconds" early warning system visualization, solves the technical problem of waste incineration control system, and implements the exploration and practice of " ultra-low emission" industrial frontier control technology.

After the completion of the technical transformation, the BAT/BEP compliance degree of Kunming project has increased from 70% to 94%, and the dioxin emission reduction rate has reached to 80% or above, ensuring the continuous and stable compliance of emission standards.

The abnormal incinerator start-stop frequency is reduced by 44%. Moreover, the synergistic reduction emission effect of carbon monoxide, nitrogen oxide, particulate matter and other pollutants is also significant. The consumption of the end treatment material is reduced as well. The technical transformation reaches significant environmental, economic and social benefits.

The Global Environment Fund (GEF) is an experimental project created by the World Bank in 1990. It is an international cooperative organization consist of 183 countries and territories. Its purpose is to work with international institutions, social organizations and the private sector to solve environmental problems jointly.

The award of Kunming project as a demonstration enterprise by the World Bank marks a high recognition of Sanfeng Environment's long-standing scientific and technological innovation, improvement of operation level, and wholehearted optimization of environmental emissions.
